Icom IC-M33 Buoyant VHF Handportable

The IC-M33 is the the world's first marine VHF transceiver that floats in water. This revolutionary new radio has been designed to be easy to use and is supplied as standard with a 980mAh Li-Ion battery pack provides 9 hours of operating time (with transmit/receive/idle ratio of 5:5:90). The ergonomic design of the case means it's easy to hold and use, and as with all Icom handhelds it features a large, easy to read backlit LCD which clearly shows all necessary information. Another innovative feature is the "AquaQuake" draining function - a vibrating sound from the loudspeaker clears water away from the speaker grille.

If you drop the IC-M33 into water, the radio comes up to the surface so it can be easily retrieved. As the radio has a rugged waterproof body (tested to 1m depth for 30mins), it will keep on working even after it has been submerged.

Icom IC-M87 VHF Handportable

Designed with particular emphasis on commercial use the IC-M87 is a high class business marine handheld that meets both marine and simple Private Business Radio (PBR) applications*. Compact and with a tough construction, the IC-M87 meets military standard requirements (MIL-STD) and is built to the same waterproof standard employed by the IC-M1EuroV and IC-M21.

The IC-M87 can be used for both marine and basic PBR applications . A simple push of a button changes the operating band between marine and PBR channels. Up to 22 free channels are available for land use (146¡V174MHz). Wide/narrow channel spacing is programmable for each channel, and CTCSS and DTCS signalling is built-in.

Icom IC-M401

IC-M401 Compact Submersible Fixed VHF Transceiver compact in size and easy to use, the IC-M401 is ideal for anyone new to marine radio, anyone that wants to upgrade to a DSC solution at a later date or anyone wanting a waterproof transceiver where space is at a premium.

The IC-M401, together with its optional DSC controller (DS-100) is rated JIS-7 submersible and is really ideal for small boats, like RIB's, where space is at a premium and where water ingress on communication equipment has been a traditional problem. It has a flush mount body and compact front panel that make it ideal for installation in a steering panel or bulkhead.

Icom IC-M411

Icom IC-M421

Compact in size and easy to use, the IC-M421 Combined DSC/VHF Transceiver is ideal for pleasure craft, small commercial fishing boats or any user that require Class D DSC equipped radio.

The IC-M421, including the microphone, has waterproof protection, equivalent to JIS waterproof specification grade 7 *. Equivalent to IPX7 of the corresponding international standard IEC 60529 (2001). 1m depth for 30 minutes.

Icom IC-M505

The new IC-M505 VHF/DSC marine transceiver and its optional Commandmic HM-162 is inspired by the design of the popular IC-M503E, and provides unrivalled features and performance. The optional HM-162 will allow for full remote control of all the built-in Class D DSC functions of the IC-M505, as well as providing intercom capabilities and other remote functionality including foghorn and a loud hailer.

Icom IC-M603

This new model is a direct successor to the award winning IC-M601E and provides unrivalled features and performance. The optional HM-162 pictured allows for full remote control of all the built-in Class D DSC functions of the IC-M603, as well as providing intercom capabilities and other remote functionality including foghorn and a loud hailer.

The IC-M603 has excellent receive specifications which allow weak signals a better chance of being heard over engine or other background noise. The powerful 5.0W (typical) audio output from the front facing speaker further increases the audibility and quality of received calls.

Icom DS100

The DS-100 is an independent VHF DSC Class D controller with built in Ch 70 watch keeping receiver. Designed to compliment the IC-M501, the DS-100 is compact and very easy to use.

The DS-100 is an independent 'Class D' DSC controller with a built in Channel 70 watchkeeping receiver. The 160 character display and large, clearly labelled controls lend themselves to simple intuitive operation, oftern lacking in other products. Although the DS-100 has been designed to compliment the IC-M501Euro, it may also be used with other DSC compatible VHF Radios using the correct communinactions protocol

Icom IC-M90E

Icom IC-M801

The new IC-M801 is based on the NMEA award winning transceiver, and will be available in two versions. The IC-M801E with Class E DSC operation will be available for non-SOLAS vessels. The IC-M801GMDSS for Class A DSC operation meets both GMDSS and MED 96/98/EC, “wheel mark” requirements for SOLAS regulated vessels.

Icom’s IC-GM1600E is the latest and most advanced handheld to meet these rigid standards including built-in GMDSS technology. The IC-GM1600E meets temperature, thermal shock, vibration and drop resistant (from 1 m height) requirements.

Icom IC-F110M

This very cost effective base station replaces the IC-F510M and is is perfect for any organisations that wish to communicate with vessels from the shore. Its applications are varied and can be used for marshalling races and coordinating marina and harbour traffic to name but a few. The IC-F110M is also a useful backup for voluntary organisations during offshore emergencies.

The IC-F110M uses AC power by converting 240V AC voltage to 13.5V DC, and can be programmed for individual user’s marine requirements. This fully approved unit has an adjustable power level and its simple display makes it easy to use.

An easy to read a 6-character 14-segment alphanumeric LCD displays a variety of information clearly. Both the display and keypad are backlit, which is a very useful feature for nighttime flying.

Icom IC-R20

The IC-R20 handheld receiver has many advanced features incorporated into its clean stylish design including dual watch; built in digital (audio) recorder function; wideband coverage in all modes; high speed scan capability and a standard Lithium Ion battery. The IC-R20 will appeal to such users as scanner hobbyists, security/surveillance companies, government agencies and other professional users. The IC-R20 will be launched at Fly, The London Airshow and will be avialble from late May 2004.

The IC-R20 is the first handheld receiver which covers 150 kHz to 3304.999MHz in SSB and CW modes as well as AM, FM, WFM modes.

The IC-R20 is a dualwatch receiver, which allows you to receive two channels simultaneously. You can listen to a broadcast station, TV audio, ham marine, aviation or utility communications, while scanning or even monitoring another channel. With two tuning knobs on the top of the receiver, operation such as tuning a channel while listening to another channel is made easy; the large display shows both band settings.

Icom IC-R5

While retaining basic features of its popular predecessor the IC-R2, the IC-R5 contains many improvements including a built-in ferrite rod antenna, a total of 1250 memory channels which can be assigned a 6-character channel name, external DC power jack and DTCS tone squelch. All these features combined with a high degree of usability means that the IC-R5 will be equally at home with any casual listener of broadcast stations or the serious scanning enthusiast seeking a pocket sized quality receiver.

With a super wide frequency range of 0.150–1309.995MHz in AM, FM and WFM modes the majority of broadcasts and public communications can all be received. The IC-R5 can scan and listen to international, national, regional and local broadcast radio stations, plus many more interesting frequencies such as aircraft, air traffic control and marine bands. The user can even listen to terrestrial analogue TV.

A built-in ferrite rod antenna improves reception for AM broadcast stations without the need to connect a whip antenna. In addition, when you listen to FM broadcast stations you have a choice of using the main antenna or a cable running from the optional earphone, SP-13 or headphone, HP-4 to improve reception.
