Second hand radios

19th March 2008

Increase Radio Coverage – If you are suffering from a lack of coverage then I am sure we have the answer. Our new TR-50 talk-through repeater base will boost all transmissions from your hand portables. It’s a revelation for the onsite system due to it's low cost it makes a repeater a viable option for the smaller system. We locate the TR-50 as high and central to your coverage area as possible and it sits there and does the rest. Each signal from the mobile is boosted from this elevated position increasing the range massively. See TR-50 Repeater Base for this gem.

Helpful tips from the Radio workshops –

  • If you get too much interference on your licence free radios, ask us if it’s possible to program them to the DCS tones – it may provide blissful silence from interference!
  • If you know you are going to be out doors in the rain, put your radio in a plastic freezer bag and operate through it - this will prevent costly water damage!
  • Try to let your radio fully discharge once a week. This will prolong its battery life.
  • Never pick up or carry your radio by its antenna – this is very likely to cause costly internal board damage!
  • Never transmit without an aerial as it will cause damage to the power amp in the radio!
  • Max-multi adaptors - Our unique adaptors enable you to use one audio headset with several different makes of radio – For example, buy a single Max-59 acoustic tube and 3 adaptors and you can use your radio earmic with a Motorola, Icom or Kenwood radio. This gives you the flexibility to work with different systems.

Radio Hire - Remember we can always match frequencies if you want to hire radios to add to your fleet for an event for as little as £12.00 per radio per week.

Icom Offer - Receive a FREE battery with every Icom IC-F25sr radio purchased before June 2008 saving you £29.00.

Motorola XTNI - Save £15.00 on every Motorola XTNI radio purchased before June 2008 – order online and use reference “ju125mot”. These new radios have proved to be a real hit.

We hope you find our updates useful.
