Top tips to Keep Your Batteries in Good Health

maintenance - Simple facts to assist you in getting the best out of
your batteries and prolonging their life.
- When the batteries are new give them a full overnight conditioning charge to set them up.
- Don’t leave batteries charging constantly.
- Try to run them down fully once a week – it’s better to do this even if you
need to have a complement of spare batteries.
- Batteries will not charge properly if they are too cold or hot – room
temperature is ideal.
- Have them regularly conditioned or consider your own conditioner if you have
a reasonable number.
- Batteries should be treated as hazardous waste and must be disposed of
properly – we offer a service for this.
Remember we have banks of Cadex analysers in our workshops which will analyse
your batteries and in our experience 50% of these can be repaired and returned
to a good useable state.
