With the recent rain storms we've noticed an increase in the amount of Motorola radios that are being sent to us for repairs especially CP040's. The reason for this appears to be users removing the accessory port cover and leaving it exposed.

Water ingress is one of the main causes of equipment failure that we see, and unfortunately it is not covered under warranty. So remember to save you time and money- When you aren't using an accessory, keep your ports covered.
