Maximon Solutions – Proud supporters of The Bucks to Le Mans Car Club
Maximon Solutions were once again delighted to provide 2-way radios for The Bucks to Le Mans Car Club on their 2017 cross country jaunt to the prestigious Circuit de la Sarthe for the oldest sports car endurance race in the world!
With our Pronto P4460 radios, team members heading for the 85th Le Mans 24 Hours were able to keep in contact with each other over their 7 hour journey which took them south from the streets of leafy South Bucks to Calais, down through the sleepy village of Bagnoles, then on to the car racing capital of Europe.
Driver Chris Liddiard said “using the noise cancelling ear pieces really made a difference this year, along with the hands free function, it meant that everyone could concentrate on the roads, and no one came back with a speeding ticket this trip, which is always a bonus!”
Out of the quarter of a million people who attend the epic race each year, The Bucks Le Mans Car club now field the biggest fleet of cars which this year included a Lotus, two Lamborghinis, a couple of F Type Jaguars and a McLaren 675.
Chris and the rest of the team are now planning their next pilgrimage to the world’s greatest motor race where rumour has it, plans are underway to put an all-electric GT car on the grid for next year’s race.
Showing dedication to the cause, the team set out at 4:30 am on Tuesday 13thJune in order to get prime positions for the historic race that commenced at 3pm on Saturday 17th with the dropping of the French tricolour flag. “It’s a legendary event in the motorsport calendar, we wouldn’t miss it,” said Chris. “Another great trip, thanks to Rich and all of the guys at Maximon Solutions, looking forward to Le Mans 2018!”
